Individual
Walkthrough
If you are an individual that does
not have the Champions of Honor program at your local church, you
can still become a champion! Every man that aligns with Champions
of Honor must “pay the price of championship” as Ed
Cole said in his book, Courage. He must commit to grow in Christ
through God's Word and "masculine context" resources that
develop an honorable man into a Champion.
To read more about our vision and
mission for champions, read our MasterPlan
for Champions.
If you are an individual that desires
to identify with Champions of Honor and help develop within your
local church, you can begin today to become a Champion! Every man
that aligns with Champions of Honor must commit to grow in Christ
through God's Word and "masculine context" resources that
develop an honorable man into a Champion.
We believe it is time for men to
quit being spiritually weak and develop as warriors for Christ.
Each man must be a man of vision, understand the meaning of unity
on the team, be disciplined and faithful, be an inspiration to others,
and persevere with character to the finish. Here are the four steps
to completing the Champions of Honor Training.
• STEP 1: Each man must
acquire pastoral approval and sign a covenant with his pastor
to be a Champion.
PDF You
can download the covenant here.
PDF We also have a
referral form that your pastor can fill out.
• STEP 2: Each man must complete
12 units of the recommended "Champions of Honor" resources.
• STEP 3: Each man must be
involved in a Champions Circle, Letting Iron Sharpen Iron with
a group of men committed to one another. We do not recommend that
men attempt to complete this training alone. Champions need a
team to play for and a coach to help develop the skills of a Champion.
You need to have at least one other man (or more) to join your
Champions Circle for accountability and encouragement. Have him
(or them) register and follow the same process.
• STEP 4: Each man must become
a Champion of Missions. When a man's heart is touched by God,
his hands soon follow. Every man wants to do something significant
with his life. If he can't go, then he needs to help send others.
Every champion must find ways of being missions-minded and support
that vision. (Example: At Champions of Honor in Pensacola, Fl,
we intend to open a Champions Center where life and fathering
skills can be taught to men and their families. It is our hope
that every community will develop a desire and resources to open
a Champions Center.) Donate Now to the First Champions Center!
We would like to give you tools to
best complete your journey.
